Choose Your Change (CYC) was originally formed under the name “Lending a Hand and Foot” (LAHAF), pronounced “Laugh” in 2010, in response to a major earthquake in Haiti. We were committed to making a difference. We began by assessing the situation, then building a team of subject-matter experts for emergency medicine, local military protocols, curriculum design, and volunteer training within this country. Our founders understood the importance of fostering collaboration between organizations and individuals.
